Description
Mee Rebus is one of my favorite noodles dishes in Malaysia. It comes in different variations. Some cook them with more Indian spices (Mee Rebus Mamak) while my version is more subtle with a hint of sourness from the tamarind paste and lemon juice. The yellow noodle (Yakisoba) is served in a thick spicy sweet potato gravy and garnished with golden brown, crispy ‘cucur udang’ (prawns fritters), hard boiled egg, potatoes, fried tofu, beansprouts, crispy fried shallots, slices of lettuce, spring onion and cilantro.
Sambal (chili gravy) is optional for the extra ‘kick’ to the dish.
Vegetarian option is available.
